Smooth Passing Fine #4 with Silk Core

This Smooth Passing number #4 thread is made in England and distributed by Access Commodities.  It is made from real metal tightly wrapped around a silk core. The thread is straight and smooth in appearance and is an excellent thread for working 17th century metal stitches such as plaited braid, reverse chain, ceylon ladder and the like. It can also be couched singularly or as a pair with a matching or contrasting thread.
