The Art of The Needle Metal Thread Brooch Kit

This metal thread brooch kit is a simple but beautiful design, which covers two basic techniques of metal thread work - couching using pearl purl and attaching 'chips'. It is an ideal starting point for launching an exciting journey into goldwork and all its many possibilities, as well as a talking point wherever you wear it.

This kit includes two squares of ultrasuede (synthetic suede), a square of calico support fabric, a square of beading foundation, beads, pearl purl, bright check purl, a reel of sewing thread, beading thread, beeswax, full instructions with stitch diagrams, a needle. All kept tidy in a neat little box.

Available in a choice of ultrasuede colour, as well as a choice of metal thread (gold, silver or copper). Please choose when ordering. The beads will match the choice of metal thread.

The finished embroidery is 7cm by 5cm.
