The Thread Gatherer Silken Chenille

Silken Chenille is a beautiful ‘flat’ chenille rather than a ‘round’ chenille, hand dyed in a range of gorgeous solids and multi-colours. As chenille can be a ‘tender’ thread, especially at the eye of the needle we suggest stitching with shorter lenghts (about 18”). Surface embroidery techniques such as spider web roses, straight outline stitches around wool applique, or straight stitches on needlepoint or linen are best suited to this thread. Silken Chenille is 100% silk and available in 20 yard skeins.
