Soie d'Alger (pronounced Swah Doll-Zhay) silk is a 7 strand spun silk that is loosely plyed and can be easily split.  It is suitable for all forms of hand embroidery and tapestry.  Soie d'Alger is made of the best quality spun silk which gives it an unrivalled regularity, lustre and softness.  It is available in a palette of 620 colours, in 5 metre pull skeins and we carry the entire range.
