Silk Serpentine Gimp

Gorgeous new pure silk gimp using Au Ver a Soie silks. Silk serpentine gimp is a rococco thread with the characteristic wave in the gimp. Commonly used in 17^th century embroidery to add an interesting textural detail to your work. It is approximately ½ mm in diameter and can be couched down as an outline, used for ripples of water, waves of hair, tree trunks, leaf edges or looped to make textured areas using a matching silk thread. 2 metres per pack.
