John James Chenille Needles

Chenille needles have a large eye, thick shaft and a sharp point. They are useful when stitching with coarser yarns or multiple strands, such as crewel work and other wool embroidery and are perfect for ribbon embroidery. Ribbons are much wider than thread and the different sized chenille needles can accommodate their width and the sharp point is necessary to pierce the ribbon to complete the stitch. Available in sizes 13 -24. Use the smaller number needle for the wider ribbon and the large number needle for narrower ribbons. The larger sizes ie. #13 – #16 are listed separately.
