Benton & Johnson Flatworm is made up of a flattened metal strip wound around a fibre core. The thread is then lightly flattened so that it is straight, flat and smooth, similar in appearance to broadplate. However, as it is softer and more flexible than broadplate, it is easier to stitch with. It turns corners easily when using a mellore. Flatworm is couched down with the same colour or contrasting thread.

Priced by the metre. Multiple metres of the same thread will be one continuous piece.

Please note that No. 2 is the finest and No. 6 is the widest. Click on second image to see comparison between sizes.
